Facial Acupuncture

Facial acupuncture is a completely natural and relatively simple method of facial revitalisation. The aim is to improve the quality of the skin, skin tone and complexion by relieving emotional and physical tension from the face and stimulating the muscles, fascia and blood supply.

What can I expect from the treatment?

Small wrinkles will often disappear and larger wrinkles will fade and soften. The change in the complexion is often very noticeable as it begins to even out. The treatment can also successfully address bags, dark circles under the eyes and general puffiness of the face.

How many treatments will I need?

Ideally a patient really needs a course of treatments to get the benefits as change usually occurs more so after the second or third treatment. However, some people experience a noticeable change after the first session, usually regulation of the complexion and brighter eyes as though one has had a good refreshing sleep.

What does the treatment involve?

The treatment begins with a short facial massage. Following this, very small needles are inserted into the skin by only a matter of millimetres. A treatment may consist of anything from 10-30 needles. The needles are left in place for 15-20 minutes. Allow one hour for each treatment.

What else is facial acupuncture used for besides cosmetic benefits?

The treatment can also help with acne, facial neuralgia, Bells Palsy, facial tics and facial paralysis. The treatment also addresses the patient on an emotional level.
